The Range was inspired by another bar and eatery: the creation of Will O’Connell, Senior Vice President at Quincy’s Granite Links, and Jim Bristol, Founder and Partner at The Range. Back in 2018, O’Connell designed Crossing Nines, a patio bar adjacent to a driving range overlooking the Boston skyline. Inspired by this concept, Bristol and O’Connell saw an opportunity to bring a similar experience to Hingham. Both sports enthusiasts, they envisioned an upscale sports bar where Boston sports fans could celebrate their teams in style. The Range was born out of this shared passion and a desire to fill a niche in the Hingham community.

The Range is renowned (and beloved by its patrons) for its sports-themed ambiance, expansive outdoor patio, and public golf driving range. The full menu’s American flair features standout items such as the Burrata appetizer and the Prime Burger, which can be customized with bacon and a fried egg. The beverage catalog is equally impressive, offering local craft beers, specialty cocktails, and fine wines. Signature drinks like the Golf Ball sparkling cocktail, Green Jacket margarita, and the Caribbean-inspired Vacation are perfect companions for conversations with friends, watching a game, or an afternoon on the patio.

A highlight of their community engagement is the annual Santa Day event in December, where Santa arrives by helicopter to greet families, with activities including Touch-a-Truck opportunities, hot cocoa, cookies, and crafts, making it a day of holiday joy for all.
